Hello All!

My name is Pearl Gary, and I am honored to serve as this year’s Department Americanism Chairman. I am incredibly excited to partner with each of you to promote Americanism across our state, and I am here to help you in any way possible as we encourage our communities to join us in this vital endeavor.

What an extraordinary year to emphasize patriotism in the Sooner State! We are celebrating the U.S. Semiquincentennial (250th Anniversary), giving us and our local communities a truly historic opportunity to celebrate freedom.

As we kick off this summer, what better time to encourage your Auxiliary to celebrate the veterans who served this great nation? Consider sponsoring a vibrant community event, such as:

  • An all-American backyard cookout

  • A local community parade

  • A summer watermelon festival

Be sure to invite your neighbors, friends, and families. Let's show our community's youth exactly how we honor and remember those who served!

Make Your Message "POP"!

Our National Ambassador, Jessica Gardner (Dayton, OH), is challenging us to share our message in a way that “POPs.” Think of classic, iconic imagery that grabs an audience's attention instantly and inspires them to act—like Rosie the Riveter declaring “We Can Do It!” or Uncle Sam’s historic “I Want YOU for U.S. Army.”

Let’s get creative: What eye-catching designs, bold slogans, or local ideas can your Auxiliary use to grab attention and inspire your community to join our mission?

Let’s put our heads together, spark some excitement, and make Americanism "cool" in our local neighborhoods and across the great state of Oklahoma! Remember, every single day, we prove that we are “Serving America’s Heroes”through “The Power of One.”
