How to become a member
Local Auxiliary Membership Application

Annual dues vary by Auxiliary.

Completed membership application, proof of eligibility (only if the veteran is not a member of the same Post), and payment are sent to the local Auxiliary.

The local Auxiliary will investigate your eligibility and vote to accept or reject your application.

May attend Auxiliary, District, Department (state) or National meetings, and is allowed to enter the business session of these meetings.

May hold an office at the Auxiliary, District or Department (state) level.

May be a Delegate to the National Convention.

May participate in any of the National Programs and earn Auxiliary, District, Department (state) and National Awards.

May qualify for Cancer Care Plus Insurance Program (Cancer Insurance).

May receive a Cancer Grant, if eligible.

May purchase self-pay insurance and burial benefits.
-
May participate in member benefits received through the mail, email or listed on the National website.

May receive VFW Auxiliary Magazine and e-newsletter.
OTHER WAYs to join
Department Member At Large​:​

Annual dues vary by Department.

Completed membership application, proof of eligibility and payment of annual dues must be sent to the Department Treasurer.
National Member At Large:​

Annual dues are $50.00 per year.

Completed membership application, proof of eligibility and payment of annual dues must be sent to National Headquarters.
Rights of Members At-Large
National Members At Large and Department Members At Large may:

Visit Auxiliary, District, Department (state) or National meetings, but is unable to enter into any discussion during the business session of these meetings.

Participate or volunteer in National Programs.

Receive a Cancer Grant, if eligible.

Purchase self-pay insurance and burial benefits.

Participate in member benefits received through the mail, email or listed on the National website.

Receive VFW Auxiliary e-Magazine and e-newsletter.

National Members At Large and Department Members At Large may not:

Hold an office at the Auxiliary, District, Department (state) or National level.

Be a Delegate to any District, Department or National Convention and therefore cannot vote. (i.e. vote on Resolutions).

Qualify for certain group insurance plans.
