Membership Starts with One

Hello, Auxiliary Brothers & Sisters,

Many of you may wonder where to begin with membership. The first thing to focus on is preparing dues notices to be sent out to your annual members. The faster we get these sent out, the faster our membership grows! After your dues notices have been sent out, begin working with your local VFW! Meet with your VFW Post Commander to briefly speak during a meeting to encourage their family members to join the Auxiliary– this personal touch makes a real difference.

Remember: Members stay when they feel valued, connected, and see the purpose of their involvement. Your personal attention and appreciation are the strongest retention tools you have!

National has significant membership goals for this year. We need everyone’s effort to reach them! I encourage you to attend a School of Instruction (SOI). You will learn the specific goals and discover practical strategies to achieve them together.
