Fall Into Membership: Planting Seeds for Growth

Hello, Auxiliary Brothers & Sisters,

As autumn leaves swirl and the air turns crisp, there’s something special about this season that brings us together. October wraps our communities in warm colors and reminds us of harvest, gratitude, and the comfort of gathering with those who matter most. This fall, as we enjoy cozy sweaters and pumpkin-spiced everything, let’s celebrate the bonds we share and the meaningful work we do together. There’s no better time than now to reflect on our blessings and look ahead to the ways we’ll continue serving with heart.

Just as farmers gather their harvest this time of year, we have an opportunity to cultivate growth in our Auxiliary family. As we continue working to achieve our membership goals this year, I encourage you to treat every event that you do as a membership drive. Whether it’s a fall festival booth or a community gathering, each moment is a chance to welcome new members into our circle.

With these membership drives, I encourage you to explore the list of resources available on MALTA. These tools are designed to support

your recruitment and retention goals. Last month, the focus was placed on resources to recognize and retain our current members. This

month, the focus is going to be on resources that can be used for your fall events. The following is a list of resources that I encourage you to

review:

• Auxiliary Benefits — highlight what membership offers

• Attract Potential Members — use merchandise from VFW store

• Membership QR Code — use on auxiliary handouts/flyers

• Recruitment Pointers — highlights the “do’s” & “don’t’s” for recruitment booths

As the days grow shorter and the evenings invite us to gather closer, let’s carry the spirit of this season into all we do. Just as every leaf plays a part in autumn’s beautiful tapestry, every member strengthens the fabric of our Auxiliary family. Thank you for planting seeds of kindness, nurturing our mission, and helping our community flourish. Here’s to a season filled with purpose, connection, and the warmth that comes from serving together. May your fall be abundant with blessings, and may we continue to grow stronger, side by side.
